My name is Rebecca Esquivel, and I offer therapeutic & rehabilitative spa services such as; massage therapy, eyelash extensions, body sugaring or body waxing, spray tanning, and Billion Dollar Brows! (<<Click Here to go to the page) I am a California State Licensed Esthetician, California Certified Massage Practitioner, and Advanced Certified Novalash Eyelash Extensionist.
I was born in San Jose, California and moved at the age of 9 to a small farm town in the valley. Los Banos, California is where I call home. My loving husband and I moved to the Santa Barbara area so that I could pursue my education. I wasn't sure what I wanted to major in, but I knew I wanted to live in Santa Barbara! We lived there for 3 years while I finished my education and moved back to Los Banos to pursue our careers and start our family.
I ventured into the esthetics world, originally as a back up plan as I tried to figure out my college goals. I quickly realized, skin care was 100% my passion. However, when I found out that giving a therapeutic foot massage was out of my scope of practice, I decided that the 250-Hour Massage Practitioner program was my next step.
Thus, my second hidden passion and talent! My 250-Hours quickly progressed into the 550-Hour Massage Therapist Program (which I'm still currently working towards). I began to immerse myself in massage and realized that becoming dual licensed was the best thing I could ever do for myself, and my clients!
I worked at Massage Envy, and that's where I practiced my facials that I love so much! (Ironically, our protocols did not include a foot massage). I was able to take that experience and work at a beautiful and organic top notch day spa in Santa Barbara, where I focused on skincare and waxing at the day spa and my massage practice at Massage Envy. I have come to learn that my massage is more of a rehabilitative practice for me. It is very science based and I specialize in neck, low back, and sciatic pain/injuries. I am consistently researching and learning new techniques to help my clients.
Why do I do it? I love helping someone address their skin care concerns. I love seeing a smile on their face when they look in the mirror after enduring a meticulous application of eyelash extensions. I am beyond elated, when my client exits the massage room with a look of peace and relief and thanks me for my excellent work. The feeling I get when I can help someone feel beautiful, glamorous, rejuvenated, or hairless is a confirmation that I'm in the right field.
Thank you for taking the time to read about me and why I do, what I do.
Always,
Mary Rebecca Esquivel L.E, C.M.P
